MEET ZENA
I BURNED OUT
AT AMAZON.
THEN I FOUND BREATH.
I spent 13 years in corporate. My last role was at Amazon. I was pregnant with my second daughter, running on empty, and eventually knew something had to change.
So I left.
During my year off, I walked into my first breathwork class. I lay down, closed my eyes, and 45 minutes later felt like someone had cleared a browser with 400 open tabs.
My first thought: why isn’t this everywhere?
The practice clicked immediately. The experience around it didn’t. The spiritual jargon, woo aesthetic, and ceremonial feel seemed to alienate the exact people I thought could benefit from it — people like me who were stressed, overstimulated, overthinking, and constantly “on.”
So I built what I wished had existed.
Breathwork for people who don’t think breathwork is for them.
nerv is the thing I needed and couldn’t find. I have a feeling I’m not the only one.
